nona — your personal AI academy.

The internet already has the best AI courses ever made, and they're free — the problem is they're scattered, and it's hard to know what to study next. nona is a calm, private place that turns them into one structured path from beginner to expert. Not a course, not a chatbot — a learning operating system that runs on your own machine.

~75curated resources — every one free to study online

100% localnotes, research, and an AI tutor that run on your machine — data never leaves

The idea

nona is a personal learning operating system: a structured curriculum, a research workspace, a note system, an assessment engine, and a local AI tutor — all in one calm place, all on your own computer, with your data never leaving the device. The voice is deliberate: learning as an expedition, one step at a time.

What's inside

The design

A warm, light identity in earth tones, with two accents that rarely touch: teal for the machine, orange for the human. It's a calm, private, offline-first space on purpose — the opposite of an anxious feed. Learning should feel like a quiet room, not a notification.

Why it's here

nona is the tool I built to learn the field this whole portfolio lives in. It's honest about how I work: teach myself in public, structure the chaos, and keep the human firmly in the loop — even when the tutor is an AI.

Project facts
  • Status: in private development — the areas above are built and running locally; not live yet.
  • Built with Next.js + TypeScript and Tailwind; local-first, so your notes and progress stay on your device.
  • The AI tutor runs on a local model via Ollama by default; you can point it at a hosted Claude model with your own key, which stays server-side.
  • The curriculum itself is editable — you can add, edit, and reorder levels and topics, and export or import everything.
